How long have you been writing?
Lyndsey started writing stories in middle school, and hasn’t stopped since. She earned a degree in English Literature with a minor in Creative Writing in 2004 from Rivier College in Nashua, NH.
I heard that you’re a character in a Brandon Sanderson book. How did that happen?
Long story short… many, many years ago, Lyndsey answered a reddit thread titled “If you could live in any fantasy world, what would it be?” She replied “Roshar,” and Brandon private messaged her and said he could make that happen. Some time later, she worked at a fan convention as his handler (personal assistant) and he extended to her the chance to become a beta reader. Her first beta project was in 2013, on Words of Radiance, and she’s since worked on over 25 of his books. The character based on her went from a cameo scene in Words of Radiance to a full-fledged member of Bridge Four (Lyn).
When’s the next book coming out?
Sadly the answer to this is, “when it happens.” Lyndsey is not a full-time writer, and works as a professional actress, wood-worker, and any other job that will pay her enough to make a living for her and her family. This means that often writing needs to take a back-seat to the jobs which actually put food on the table.
